The Millau viaduct is part of the new Expressway connecting Paris and Barcelona and features the highest bridge piers ever constructed. The tallest pier is 240 meters high and the overall height will be an impressive 336 meters, making this the highest bridge in the world.

My friend Ron Taylor who sent me the picture of this bridge today on Jul-16-2006, was so scared to see the tall piers of this fascinating structure that he said there is not enough money in the world to entice him to drive over this bridge -- come on now Ron -- don't be a sissy -- the bridge was opened on Dec-17-2004!
