Renee and Stephen Read have a beautiful lake-front house on a over 4 acre lot. The ultra-modern house is on a sloping terrain toward the lake in the prestigious Bloomfield Township in Michigan.

Ken Trever, the builder had met with the READs in the summer of 2006 about building an in-ground gunited pool with a lower level deck, a Shower Room and a Pool Equipment Room.

We had to go in for a hearing for approval of the set-back requirements from the water-line. Just recently, we got all the needed approvals -- the Building Permit, the Fence Permit, and the Soil Erosion Permit.

Guess What ... in the middle of the Michigan Winter we are building an outdoor in-ground swimming pool. What a refreshing idea -- we are thinking Spring!

I was at the site today Jan-05-2007 to look at the excavation and the as-built configuration of the existing footings, and the best way of connecting the footings for the addition to the existing footings.

Let me show you a few pictures of the project -- one of the pictures shows the simulated elevation of the finished project based on the pictures of the existing house. I am working on the design of the footings for the addition and I will post the details on that in the next few days.
