I discussed Grading-and-Seeding-Sodding-Alley behind the six manufactured homes in Wayne Michigan in my posting of Dec-23-2006.

The area between the houses also needed to be graded for effective surface runoff. It is a pretty flat terrain, and the clayey soil in the area required precisely grading for positive drainage through a series of gentle swales into the catch basins and finally to the storm sewers.

I have posted a few pictures of the grading for surface runoff and for seeding-sodding area between the houses. I have discussed the Basement Sump-Line Drainage for the Houses separately.
