This aircraft hangar is a Metal Building 80 ft span and 80 ft wide. The builder Vic Coletta of Coletta Building has built a number of aircraft hangar buildings in St Clair. This hangar building is for Huron Avionocis, and the front of the hangar building houses the office and radio service facility.

Back in January of 2006, I had presented the design of foundation for this aircraft hangar building. It is a good looking building. I took a few pictures that I am presenting here as picture slides. I was at the project site today, Aug-21-2006, to discuss the design of foundation for the next hangar building that Vic is going to build.


This is a shot of part of the building from inside. The finish on the inside is very nice. Both the walls and the underside of the roof are insulated ... Picture 1

Here we are looking at the West face of the Hangar Building -- behind the West face is the attached Office Building. Vic has done a real good job here. The two good-looking guys in the picture -- I know in this small picture you can't see them clearly, but you can take my word for it they indeed are good looking. Vic Coletta the Builder is the one on the left, and the young man on the right is Vic's friend Bob Gualdoni of National Lumber in Warren Michigan. Both Vic and Bob are Licensed Pilots and real flying enthusiasts -- I Know I will be learning a lot about flying from these guys ... Picture 2
