Here we have a truss where the bottom chord is raised in the middle to get a valuted ceiling effect in the soffit if you will. We did not want to use rafters because of the span and we also wanted to avoid putting thrust on top of the walls.

The truss span is 38 ft, the height from the eaves to the ridge is 14.3 ft, and from the raised bottom chord to the peak is 8.8 ft.

I analysed the truss graphically using Bow's notation method.

and I present here some pictures of the Physical Model of the truss, the Force Diagram from the graphical method using Bow's notation, and the Member Force Table.
