The lower level is the common area where 4 to 8 aircraft can be parked on a carousel -- the lazy susan if you will. In addition to safe parking of the plane at the lower level, there is also provision for car parking inside the hangar for the owners who, at the upper level, may have their residence, place of business or a secondary home.
The whole facility is built with energy efficiency in mind -- radiant floor heating, with common utllities at the lower level, and individually controlled and metered utilities for the custom furnished upper level.
The walls are built with R-25 insulation, and the ceiling has R-30 insulation.
